Google Site Performance advises webmasters to ditch Adsense

webmaster_tools_logo_smGoogle added a new section in Webmaster tools called “Site performance”.

It shows the average “page load time” for pages in your sites. On this page, Google also provides some suggestions on how to speed up your sites.

Here is the advice I got for one of my properties:

Minimize DNS lookups

The domains of the following URLs only serve one resource each. If possible, avoid the extra DNS lookups by serving these resources from existing domains:
  • Go to URLhttp://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js
  • Yes, basically, Google is telling me to ditch Google Adsense.
